Why don’t more white people wear grilles?

It seems lately, that everywhere I look I see spoiled, lily-white rich kids from the suburbs dressed in over-sized NBA tanks
Everyone is “gangsta”… Everyone is “hood”… Everyone is a douchebag!
Apparently “street cred” can be purchased quite easily with “store cred”, and mommy and daddy’s platinum visa goes a long way towards establishing a wiggers reputation with his peeps.
But it’s not just the kids… It’s also Bob from accounting who grew up in an affluent white suburb in Connecticut and yet insists on greeting you each and every morning with “Yo…Yo…Yo… What up my nigga?”
Or Dave from IT who can trace his ancestry back to the Mayflower and yet answers every question with “Fo’ shizzle my nizzle…”
And let’s not forget the 35 year old ad executive sitting next to you in traffic in the BMW M5 who makes 375 K per year blasting NWA
Still… Even with the wholesale co-opting of Hip-Hop Culture by mainstream white America there is one aspect of it that has yet to become accepted.
I am referring of course to… The grille…

While widely accepted in urban areas as a sign of affluence and status. It has yet to catch on in middle class suburbia…
Perhaps it’s because while widely known to attract hoochies, chicken heads, skeeters, scants, hood rats, ho’s, and bitches in “Da Hood”, the grille actually seems to repel the milfs, divorcees and soccer mom’s that M.A.W.G’s (Middle, Aged, White, Guys) are hoping to attract.

As a woman and a new mother (not sure about the MILF thing though), I would say it’s a mixture between the two…they’re unnattractive AND goofy. I’d never want to be around a guy who wears one…and I’d die someday if my son wanted to wear one. LOL.

Dude, I totally wish nobody would wear grilles, they are wicked gross. It makes ya look like you got dental work done in a third world country with a chisel.
Its one of the great questions that we ponder on a daily basis.

haha white people not wearing grilles is a good thing. i dunno, it just doesnt look right. in fact, anybody over the age of 21 wearing a grille is just corny. i just see it as some teenager tryin too hard beggin for attention type shit. this generation is too concerned with impressing their peers.
