You... Might be a douchebag!You might be a douchebag if you have a complete and total meltdown backstage because you didn’t get enough face time… Or win enough awards at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards…

Then agree to close the MTV Video Music Awards the very next year…

Kanye West has definitely secured his place in history as not only the biggest douchebag on the planet, but as the biggest hypocrite on the planet by doing exactly that…

Remember last year when Kanye West threw a hissy fit, vowing never to return to MTV because even though he was nominated for five awards, he didn’t win a single one, and then was relegated to a small stage for his performance of Stronger rather than the mainstage?

Well… Apparently he doesn’t…

Despite the fact that Kanye promised to never again show his face on MTV, in a cruel twist of fate for us, the viewing audience… He has signed on to close tonights show.

Ironically… Britney Spears will be opening the VMA’s… Again.

After his meltdown last year Kanye told anyone who would listen that MTV was to blame for Britney Spears’ disastrous come back performance, saying “They exploited Britney in helping to end her career,”, adding “Near the end, I felt so bad for her. I said, Man, it’s a dirty game. This game will chew you up and spit you out.”

Of course… He wasn’t quite as sympathetic towards Britney during his tirade.

Apparently… He was more than a little upset at the fact that she was opening last years’ show, saying “I can’t believe she would perform. Brit hasn’t had a hit in like 5 million years and she opens the show?!?”… But he probably forgot that too.

Question…

Do you think Kanye’s change of heart has anything to do with the fact that his new single, “Love Lockdown,” is expected to drop tomorrow?!?

I’m just askin’…

    So there was actually a lot of political BS spewed… And I have to agree with you completely about Russell Brand. It’s sad too…

    I really thought he was going to be funny… His entire monologue was how the British people want us to elect Obama. Ummmmm… Who really cares what the limeys want.

    However I thought Britney was actually… Well… Normal. Good for her!
